Over the past year, we have been watching the evolution of OpenStack, an Open Source initiative, mature as a Cloud Computing platform. NASA has been very active in this project from its inception. Chris Kemp, during his tenure as CIO of the Ames Research Center, co-founded the OpenStack project and started the Nebula Cloud Computing project. Chris reviewed the current options for developing private clouds and discussed how OpenStack compares with other technologies from VMWare, etc. We also got an opportunity to learn from his experience building a large-scale cloud computing platform at NASA and now with other customers of Nebula.
Chris Kemp, CEO of Nebula, will travel to DC and lead the discussion.
